At Voice of Christ Media Ministries, we hear regularly from listeners. These issues frequently appear in prayer requests from Iranian and Afghan believers. The first generation of MBBs in Iran after the revolution usually gave up everything in their lives; family relationships, jobs, friendships, personal safety.
Forty years and hundreds of thousands of converts later, many are coming to Christ through witnessing from family members and friends in their daily lives. We even heard of a devout Muslim relative bemoaning, “Everyone is becoming a Christian in Iran! They’re not even ashamed of it anymore!”
Historically, our more permissive Western society led Muslims to view Christians as immoral, and far less dignified than Muslims. Because Muslims’ beliefs usually guide their government, they do not understand the distinction between Christians and our overall culture, which encompasses Hollywood, etc. Their automatic assumption is that Christianity spawns highly immoral people.
But recently many Iranians have seen the lives of new Christians around them transformed, and this powerful witness is drawing them to
Christ in droves. Praise the Lord with us that enough Iranian MBBs have been willing to bear the shame and live out their faith in front of their society, that the fields are now white for the harvest.
Please pray that the Lord will continue using Voice of Christ Media Ministries to assist remotely in discipling these young believers to follow Christ above all, to help them grasp biblical truth with our sound teaching, and to continue extending the Good News to those who have not yet heard.
